Official trailer for 1923: Yellowstone Origin Story on Paramount+ Yellowstone prequel 1923 season two is on its way with fans to expect a big change following an update. Starring Hollywood icons Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, 1923 follows in the footsteps of fellow spin-off 1883 which starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. In 1923, the focus is on the Dutton family in the late 19th century as they made their way from Texas to Montana, struggling to survive the drought, prohibition and cattle theft.

The first series on Paramount+ went down a storm with subscribers so it wasn’t too much of a surprise when it was renewed for a second season. However, this new series is going to look different from the first after its creators gave an update on shooting the Western drama. (Image: PARAMOUNT PLUS) 1923 season two is going to be swapping Montana for a new filming location in South Austin, Texas. The show is going to be shot at ATX Film Studios, according to Austin Business Journal, even though the majority of season one took place in Bozeman Town, Butte, in Montana. Other scenes were filmed in South Africa, throughout Europe and Tanzania but was predominantly in Montana so it will be a big change.

As of yet, it is unclear if other locations beyond Texas are going to be used for 1923’s second season. Don't miss..
