XDefiant is still in its early days, so its game mode rotation is still relatively barebones. Almost all game modes you can play now involve completing a specific objective, like Escort and Domination, so every team member needs to be on the same page to win a match. Unfortunately, most players often prefer stacking kills to controlling zones or escorting payloads, prompting an avalanche of community complaints on social media.
Grumblings have especially been loud on the XDefiant subreddit, where most posts have become advertisements on how not to win matches. As an example, even shared an image of the scoreboard of an Occupy match they played in. Unsurprisingly, they scored the most, earning a 1,085 objective score throughout the game.
Their teammates, on the other hand, only collectively scored 795. You probably aren’t going to win a ton of games with an objective score disparity like that. Now, in a game mode like Occupy, objective score differences are understandable since your entire team shouldn’t be sitting in one spot.
That just makes your squad ripe for an enemy team wipe. Plus, defenders are always necessary to prevent the opposition from taking over the objective. But when each player’s score is this far apart, it becomes a problem.
After all, XDefiant is classified as a team-based shooter, and the only way to win is by playi.
