Wuthering Waves 5 Star Tier List

There are almost 20 Resonators in Wuthering Waves that you can play as, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. While typically the 5 Star Resonators are going to be better than those of lower quality, there are overall some pretty big gaps between some of the 5 Star Resonators. Below is our Wuthering Waves 5 Star Tier List to rank all of the Resonators currently in the game based on their overall capabilities.Screenshot by DestructoidWuthering Waves All 5 Star Resonators Tier ListEven though each Resonator in Wuthering Waves has its uses, typically speaking the 5 Star Resonators are the best overall. However, despite them all being solid as an average, a couple are extremely powerful and better than the other 5 Star Resonators, while a couple of them are rather weak compared to the rest. The single Resonator in our S Tier is so strong she should be the priority for all players to obtain. Those in the A Tier every very good as well, and should be used to compliment your team setup at all costs. The Resonators in the B Tier might have situational uses in which you should consider adding them to your lineup, whereas the lone Resonator in the C Tier is so underpowered at the moment he should not really be used unless he's all you have. Here is our Wuthering Waves 5 Star Tier List:S TierVerina - Verina is arguably the single-handed best Resonator in Wuthering Waves at the moment. Even though she's technically a support Resonator, she can still output heaps of damage as well. Her support kit includes the ability to heal and buff ally attacks, as well as a cheat death for her allies. You will want Verina as she will buff your damage dealer while also keeping the team alive.A TierCalcharo - Calcharo has very high damage attack potential, but requires perfect execution from the player to reach that point. While Jiyan simply just hurts damage wise, Calcharo requires calculated combos and character swapping to reach his full potential. Even still, with his damage output can reach some of the highest numbers in Wuthering Waves if you take the time to learn how he needs to be played.Jiyan - Honestly, Jiyan probably deserves to be considered an S Tier character. His massive DPS output matched with his capability to deal both widespread AOE and high single-target damage makes him the ideal damage dealer for most teams. If it weren't for Verina being such a requirement in Wuthering Waves, Jiyan would also be considered an S Tier Resonator. Even still, Jiyan is as good as it gets when it comes to damage, and should definitely be sought out.B TierEncore - Encore is a unique Resonator with the ability to alternate ranged and melee attacks on the fly, with a powerful Resonance Liberation. With Encore's kit, she's certainly useable for most situations. However, when compared to say Calcharo or Jiyan, she just can't compete, which is why she's more of a B Tier Resonator.Jianxin - Jianxin is an overall solid Resonator that excels as a solo stand-alone beast without the need for specific buffs or team compositions. He skills are built around ensuring she survives, and her standalone DPS output is solid enough for most content. However, because of her kit, she doesn't make much use of other Resonator's buffs and can't really buff them either, making it difficult for her to compete with Resonators in higher tiers.Rover - The player character, Rover, is a very versatile Resonator later in Wuthering Waves. Once you upgrade Rover's Resonance Chain you can really utilize Rover as a support and DPS hybrid, and synergizes well with other Spectro element Resonators like Verina. For being a "free" Resonator that you start with, Rover can suffice as your main until you're able to acquire a higher tier option.C TierLingyang - Lingyang is not in a great spot right now. The only real strength of Linyang comes through his Resonance Liberation. However, when activated, Lingyang starts flying around making it actually difficult to actually fight and deal the damage he's so capable of doing when his Resonance Liberation is activated. He's kind of fun to play and looks really cool when he's flying around, but in all actuality, his damage greatly suffers from his clunky and peculiar flight capabilities.
