Captain Kirk, a.k.a.

, has boldly gone into the discussion of open net-pen salmon farming with an expletive-packed video for Pacific Wild. The video, which was uploaded to the conservation group’s YouTube page on Thursday, features the 93-year-old actor responding to federal Fisheries Minister Diane Lebouthillier’s announcement this week that it will to 2029. Originally the federal government had promised to phase out the aquaculture farms by 2025.



“You know, for almost a century I have been a kind, decent Canadian,” Shatner says in the video. “But when I see what open-net farming is doing to the environment and wildlife, I just can’t be Canadian about it any longer.” The legendary Shatner then delivers into a stream of bleeped-out f-bombs and encourages other Canadians to speak up in a similar fashion.

“So repeat after me, F— off open net salmon farms,” Shatner screams into the camera. “Your a– hole salmon farms are f—ing up our salmon. It’s a s— stain on our nation.
