Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has filed a petition to remove her dad’s last name from hers. On her 18th birthday, she filed a petition in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to officially change her name. Scroll down to read why! New Delhi: Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, daughter of Hollywood icons Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has sought to remove “Pitt” from her name.

On her 18th birthday, May 27, Shiloh filed a petition in the Los Angeles County Superior Court to officially change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie. This significant decision marks yet another chapter in the ongoing saga of the Jolie-Pitt family. Why Shiloh Jolie-Pitt wants to drop her last name? Shiloh, the third-eldest of the Jolie-Pitt brood, isn’t the first of the couple’s children to make such a move.

Earlier reports revealed that her younger sister, 15-year-old Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, had also dropped “Pitt” from her name. In promotional materials for the new musical The Outsiders, Vivienne was listed simply as Vivienne Jolie, sparking speculation about her name change. The trend continued with their eldest daughter, Zahara, who introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie during her induction into the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College last November.

The pattern of these name changes seems to reflect a deeper issue within the family. A post shared by ESSENCE (@essence) What happened between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Tensions between Brad Pi.
