Team FOLON’s London expansion to Fallout 4 has garnered bucket-loads of attention over the past few years. Unfortunately, it’s been delayed several times due to issues out of the developers control; Starfield’s launch, shadow-dropping next-gen updates, and a ‘frustrating’ lack of communication from the game’s original developer Bethesda. It’s almost here, and the team has an internal release date decided upon.
In the run-up to its eventual launch, whenever that’s expected to be, the project lead Dean Carter has illuminated on potential plans for a console launch. In speaking with , Carter said that “what [Team FOLON] want is to speak to a decision-maker, because if we could make it a standalone thing with [Bethesda’s] permission, that means that people on gaming consoles could use it, which they currently can’t.” Bethesda are one of the few studios out there who openly welcome modders and hackers into its creative teams.
, Skyrim, and Fallout each have thriving modding communities that continue to keep those games alive despite their age – the latter two especially. In fact, developers working on mod projects in the past.
