MANY people have space under their stairs that’s either a dumping ground for belongings or gets forgotten about. One parent shared how they transformed their abandoned cupboard under-the-stairs into the perfect gaming haven. They showed how before the project, the tiny space had been used for old hangers and an ironing board.

However, it wasn’t being used to its full potential. The parent revealed how they added a wooden platform to be used as a seating area with cushions, and added a unit with their TV and consoles. Taking to Reddit , they wrote: “I’m not great at DIY, but I converted a little closet into a small gaming space.

“A wee closet above our stairs, we weren’t using it so I converted it into a wee gaming space as a haven from our destructive toddler.” The “after” shot looked very cosy indeed, and they’d made the gaming room more homely with cushions and prints on the wall. Many people were impressed with the DIY transformation, with one writing: “THAT.

IS. FREAKING. AWESOME.

I'm so jealous, it must have been fun to build too!” Another joked: “We'll see that on rightmove next £1,025 pcm.” However, one added: “Nah, Mate. It's Harry Potter 's bedroom.

” He’s not the only person to get creative with the under stairs space. Ryan Atfield decided he needed his own space, so set about repurposing the void under the stairs, equipping it with all his essentials. Calling it the ‘mini man cave’, the man shared before and after snaps to Face.
