Wayne Rooney is joining the BBC’s presenting team for the Euros - working alongside former teammates including Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand . For the Euros, Rooney will join the team - lead by presenters Gary Lineker , Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott - along with other new signings Joe Hart, David Moyes and Thomas Frank. Ex-England stars Wayne Rooney , Rio Ferdinand, Joe Hart, Ellen White and Frank Lampard will also join BBC regulars Micah Richards and Ashley Williams in bringing their expertise to the coverage.

BBC content boss Charlotte Moore said: “We are really excited to be announcing some new names joining the line-up for the first time – including Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart , David Moyes and Thomas Frank.” The BBC will show England’s first two group games against Serbia and Denmark and Scotland ’s group games against Switzerland and Hungary. On TV commentary duties are Guy Mowbray, Robyn Cowen, Vicki Sparks, Steve Wilson, Steve Bower and Jonathan Pearce.



Joining them on co-comms are Jermaine Jenas, Danny Murphy, Martin Keown and James McFadden as well as Alan Shearer, who will be in the commentary box for England’s opener against Serbia on 16 June.
