David Beckham 's Glastonbury jaunt didn't exactly go to plan back in 2017, thanks to wife Victoria turning up on Worthy Farm. The retired footballer, 49, and Posh Spice's marriage is examined in Tom Bower's upcoming book The House of Beckham, with a number of new details about their decades-long romance revealed. While the couple opened up about being "against each other" in David's Netflix series last year, the famous pair only touched on the battle to save their marriage in the early 00s when David was accused of having an affair with his former PA Rebecca Loos .

But in The House of Beckham, Bower claims the couple experienced further problems years later - with the parents-of-four even waging a war against each other in the media with rival PR managers. Another low-point for the Beckhams mentioned in the book came about in 2017, when Victoria's gate-crashed David's fun at Glastonbury. David and a small group of pals, including his best friend Dave Gardner, had gone to the famous British festival without Victoria at first as she was arriving later from New York.



The night before Posh's arrival the group - including married Lady Mary Charteris, as well as a "glamorous Australian bikini model" - had partied until 5am. The festivities resumed at lunchtime the next day "until interrupted by a telephone call" informing them that Victoria had arrived. "There was no hassle and a great mood until she landed,’ complained one of the group," Bower writes in The House of Beckham.
