Canada-based reggae artiste V Merchant is on a mission to uplift, inspire and entertain the masses with his music. "My musical style blends roots rock reggae with R&B influences, creating a unique lovers' rock sound that resonates with a wide audience. It's like old wine in a new bottle, because my music still carries the true essence of reggae music.
My music emphasises the importance of love and unity. It also embodies the human experience, struggles, triumphs, and the resilience of the human spirit," said V Merchant. The easygoing singer, who lists Dennis Brown, Bob Marley and Sanchez among his musical heroes, recently released his debut album titled We Will Rise .
The 13-song project, which was produced by him, was released in February. Tracks include We Will Rise, featuring Sizzla, Tribal War , and I'm A Winner . "This album is a representation of everything I've experienced throughout my lifetime, both musically and otherwise.
