Waitrose customers have been warned not to eat a popular pasta sauce - as it may contain glass. The Crosta & Mollica sauce has been pulled , according to food safety officials. The recall particularly focuses on the Sugo Alla Norma Aubergine, Ricotta and Tomato pasta sauce.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) warned it could be dangerous - and do not eat. A spokesman said: "This product may contain pieces of glass which makes it unsafe to eat. If you have bought the above product do not eat it.

The 340g sauce jar was exclusively sold in Waitrose stores across England, Scotland and Wales. In a consumer notice, Crosta & Mollica urged customers to 'not consume' the product and to instead package it up and return it.
The recalled product carries a batch code of Y008B and a best-before date of January 8, 2027. The company said: "We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused,' the company stated. A recall implies that customers are advised to return the affected item this doesn't mean the product is permanently removed from supermarket shelves and websites.
".
