Paris Fury has revealed that she called off her wedding to Tyson Fury after he wanted to move the date forward by several months as he failed to gain a spot in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Without realising the level of planning involved in organising a wedding, Tyson made the impulsive decision assuming Paris would happily go along with his spontaneous plan. But in fact the mum of seven,34, refused to change the date and stood her ground.
So much so, she cancelled their November 2008 nuptials and ended her relationship with the professional boxer. In her book Love and Fury, she said: "My fiancé clearly didn’t understand the amount of planning and organisation that went into a wedding. I was beginning to realise how incredibly impulsive he was, the sort of person who lived life in the moment and liked to make decisions on the hoof.
In Tyson’s world , our big day could be rescheduled on a whim, just like one of his boxing matches. I was having none of it, though, and refused point blank to change the date." She continued: "It was one conflict after another and after an ugly slanging match.
