Travis Kelce is revisiting a decade-old tweet about wanting "permanent background dancers" in his life -- and he's also adding an addendum to that policy. In the season 2 finale of Travis and Jason Kelce 's New Heights podcast, the brothers got to talking about Travis joining his girlfriend, Taylor Swift , onstage at Wembley Stadium in London, England, during one of her Eras Tour shows. After discussing how they came up with the idea and the do's and don'ts for the surprise performance , Jason conjured up Travis' 2014 tweet after asking him if in a million years did he would ever think he'd be a backup dancer himself.
"Dude, I've always been a fan of dancers. I'm a big fan of backup dancers because they keep things alive. I'm a team guy, too," he responded.
"I'm in it for everybody to have a good time here. It's so cool. I've seen the show so many times at this point that I'll find myself in the crowd, down the choreography to some of the [moves] and it's fun, you already know.
It's fun to play along, so for them to be up for it and not only that, help me and make me look like a pro, I guess, it was awesome." Then, the tweet . "You brought up background dancers and how much they add to the energy and excitement," Jason said.
"So, the New Heights team did us a solid and brought out this old tweet from Travis Kelce, which we know that Travis has some gold in his tweet locker. Travis' Aug. 2014 tweet reads, "I just want to have permanent background dancers to my life.
.. Haha the.
