King Charles and the Princess of Wales have been supporting each other amid their cancer diagnoses. The Princess of Wales made her return to the spotlight over the weekend when she appeared at the Trooping of the Colour event alongside her husband Prince William , and their three children - George, Charlotte and Louis. King Charles was also present alongside his wife, Queen Camilla , with royal fans thrilled to see both King Charles and the Princess of Wales back at work after their diagnoses in the previous months.

During a chat on Lorraine today, The Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers spoke with host Lorraine Kelly about the Princess of Wales returning to public duties. He also discussed the sweet way that Charles and Kate had supported one another, revealing that they were always supportive of each other when they would cross paths whilst receiving treatment. "They are very close and he thinks of Catherine as his daughter.

The Princess of Wales released a new video recently, where she admitted she was "not out of the woods yet". In a video, Kate said: "I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.
