Sponsored by the Macon County Health Department and Macon Mosquito Abatement District, the event is designed to reduce some of the barriers associated with tire disposal and to decrease mosquito-borne infections and illnesses. Participants should bring proof of Macon County residency. No more than 10 rimless passenger tires will be accepted per household.
No lawnmower tires, semi-truck tires, tractor tires, or tires from local tire shops will be accepted. For more information, call 217-875-2722..
