Thousands of Disney+ members will be hit with a price hike from next week as a popular deal comes to an end. The House of Mouse launched its hugely successful ‘Epic Movies, Epic Offer’ promotion on February 29, with a raft of TV and movie fans able to bag a discounted membership of £1.99 a month.

The lower rate stays on members' accounts for three months, after which it reverts to the usual price of the ‘Standard with Ads plan’ at £4.99. This means that, with the three months coming to an end, many Disney+ users will soon find their subscription more than doubles for access to the same content.



Disney+ has also confirmed it will soon be cracking down on members sharing their Disney+ accounts with friends and family in different households, following a similar move from Netflix. This means people will soon need to create and pay for an account to continue watching their favourite films and shows. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to bag free or discounted subscriptions to Disney+ or other streamers like Netflix or Amazon’s Prime Video with promotions from retailers and tech brands.
