A This Morning presenter has shared her horror after her daughter was rushed to hospital. Vanessa Feltz, 62, recalled that while her daughter Allegra, 36, was walking home from work last week, she suffered a fall which resulted in her needing medical attention. "She went flying on an uneven slab of pavement," Vanessa told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard .

"She hurtled through the air and we think that she hit her face as she fell on another sticking up, jagged, uneven slab of pavement." The hosts were visibly shocked as Vanessa revealed her daughter was "extremely badly injured," lying in a "spreading pool of her own blood," in Hendon, North West London. "Nobody knew which bit of her was bleeding," she continued, adding that Allegra couldn't move and had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance.



As Vanessa narrated the ordeal on This Morning , she informed viewers that Allegra was currently undergoing an MRI scan, as its believed that she has broken her elbow in two different places. She also suffered a laceration under the chin which needed stitches, as well as a black eye and cuts all over her face and body. Vanessa added that her hand and shoulder might also be broken.

Allegra returned from the hospital past midnight that night, with Vanessa emotionally describing her as looking like a "broken bird."
