This Morning: Dermot issues apology after nut allergy reference This Morning has been hit with 637 Ofcom complaints over media commentator Nick Ferrari's attitude. It follows his discussion regarding the story of BBC weather presenter Georgie Palmer and her family being ordered off a plane after she told the crew her daughter was allergic to peanuts. He made the offending comments on the Tuesday May 26 episode of the ITV show as he appeared via video link from the LBC studios.
"If you don't like peanuts then don't get on the plane because I do and I can't eat them because someone at the back of the plane is going to drop dead or something," he said. Josie Gibson laughed at his remarks while Dermot O'Leary held a sheet of paper over his face to hide his giggles. The following day Dermot issued an on air apology about the offending segment.
"Quickly before we start, yesterday there was a reference on the show to nut allergies in The Morning View. Apologies from us," Dermot began.
