BBC and star Dr Michael Mosley has gone missing after going on a walk on a Greek island. The 67-year-old reportedly vanished after going on a hike on the Greek island of Symi on Wednesday (June 5). Local police believe he may have "fallen from a height" after a walk along St Nicholas Beach.

Dr Mosley's wife Dr Clare Bailey, 62, alerted the police after he failed to come home by 7.30 that evening. Local authorities began looking along the route he walked but did not find him.



A search and rescue team was then sent from Athens, including drones and other search equipment. Dr Mosley's photo has been shared on a local Facebook group asking for help. In it, he is wearing a blue polo shirt, a cap and sunglasses.

The post reads: "Have you seen this man? "He set off to walk back from St Nick's at about 13.30 and failed to make it home. His friends are concerned as it is six hours since they last saw him.

"His name is Dr Mike Mosley and he is a familiar face for many British people as he has appeared on the . "The police and coast guard have been informed. EMAK, the island's rescue team, is also involved.

" The television star, who was born in Calcutta, India, is best known for his work on diets, promoting methods such as intermittent fasting and a low-carbohydrate diet. He has appeared on ITV's to discuss health tips to improve your daily routine. He is also a regular on BBC's The One Show.
