The View hosts covered their faces in shock after Michael Douglas, 79, revealed the secret of his marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, 54. The award-winning actors have been married since November 18, 2000. During an interview with The View on Wednesday, Michael Douglas spoke to the hosts about his and Catherine's love of golf.

When asked what Catherine makes him do when he loses, Michael shocked the hosts with his cheeky response. "What does she make you do when you lose to her?" asked co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin . Michael responded, "Whip it out.

" As the hosts laughed, the Fatal Attraction actor continued, "She says, 'You've gotta whip it out.' "Drop the trou and whip it out. "That's the secret to a marriage.

" Michael went on to say he doesn't do it any more as he's getting older. "I'm going to be 80 in September, so now I play off of ladies tees, too, so I don't have to do that anymore." While most of the co-hosts shared a chuckle at Michael's comment, Whoopi Goldberg , too shocked to respond, sat at the table with her hand over her mouth.

This isn't the first time Michael has spoken out about his relationship with his longtime wife and their love of golf . In April, Michael was having a chat with Ross King while on Lorraine , and he revealed that golf brought the couple together. "You know, Catherine loves golf," he said.

"That was actually kind of the closest we first got together. "Things were looking good and I said, 'What do you think of golf?' "She said, 'Oh, I love go.
