Binge has released first images and a gripping new trailer ahead of the premiere of the second series of its award-winning crime drama, The Twelve, filmed in Western Australia last year. The Logie Award-winning series, which stars Sam Neill as lawyer Brett Colby SC, will return to screens on July 11 on Foxtel and Binge, with new episodes dropping weekly. The series will see a new case take centre stage, with new cast members stepping into the courtroom, including WA-born Frances O’Connor, who plays Neill’s colleague and lover, Tasma Walton, Kris McQuade, Amy Matthews, Erroll Shand, Fayssal Bazzi and The Block’s Sharon Johal, amongst others.

The action takes place this time around in the rural township of Tunkwell, which was recreated in York, Northam and WA’s surrounding Wheatbelt — the courtroom scenes were filmed at ABC studios in Perth — and is described as “a world away” from the urban city landscapes of Season One.
