Jamie-Lynn Sigler, famed for her role in The Sopranos , opened up about a life-threatening brush with sepsis that occurred nearly a year ago after returning from a spiritual journey in India. The 43-year-old star detailed the harrowing experience on her 'MeSsy' podcast, recounting how she felt "awakened and connected and peaceful" during her time at an ashram. She revealed: "A little less than a year ago now is when I went to India, and I lived in this ashram and I felt so awakened and connected and peaceful." Tragically, just two weeks after her return, she encountered a severe reaction post-surgery which led to sepsis, landing her in the hospital fighting for her life. In a candid confession, Jamie-Lynn said: "And when I came home, two weeks later, I had a very bad reaction to a surgery and got sepsis and was in the hospital and almost died.
I never told anybody this." Amidst the crisis, Jamie-Lynn experienced profound despair, sharing: "I had never in my life been more sad, felt more low. But what I learned from India was I had an inability to escape it.
" Jamie-Lynn also candidly shared her coping strategies for dealing with her emotions, stating: "I had to sit in it. I would scream in pillows; I would cry to girl.
