Jeremy Clarkson fans have been flocking to his new £1,000,000 Cotswolds pub – but not for the reason you might think. Clarkson’s Farm viewers regularly queue for hours to catch a glimpse of the broadcaster at his Diddly Squat farm and shop but at his boozer, they are making the most of his (relatively) cheap pints. While The Hawkstone Arms has not officially opened, the 64-year-old could not resist letting customers in early and shared a clip of himself pouring drinks on Instagram .
A delighted punter later published a picture of the pub’s drinks’ pricelist on TripAdvisor which revealed you can purchase a pint at Jeremy’s new watering hole for £5. The cost is a little kinder on your pocket compared to nearby Oxford where the average price of a pint is £5.45 according to research from the British Beer and Pub Association shared with The Mirror.
At The Hawkstone Arms, the five quid beers are the session and pils, but if you want a half-pint that will set you back £2.60. Premium Hawkstone, IPA, and cider cost 50p more for a pint or £2.
80 for a half. But if you’re struggling to choose you can purchase a tasting paddle consisting of three half pints for £7.50.
Meanwhile, spirits, including gin, vodka and rum, cost £6.50 for a single and a mixer and £11 for a double shot. Sober customers can buy soft drinks for £2, juices for £2.
50 or a can of 0.3% lager for £3.15.
Jeremy has been settling into his new pub – but was bemused to discover it’s located on a r.
