Watch the trailer for The Night Caller Channel 5 's gripping thriller The Night Caller reached its conclusion tonight after running for four evenings straight. Since Sunday night audiences had been gripped by the tale of teacher turned taxi driver Tony Conroy (Robert Glenister) who became fixated with late-night talk radio presenter Lawrence Brightway (Sean Pertwee). With his world crumbling around him after he ran over Ste, the nasty ex-boyfriend of the object of his affection Rosa (Suzanne Packer) the final episode saw Tony completely on edge.

Viewers became incredibly invested in praising the show but they had a lot of thoughts about the fact that Lawerence admitted to lying about having cancer as he poured his heart out in an epic showdown with Tony @WhoPotterVian commented on X: "Ironic that the radio DJ who gives his listeners someone to talk to, feels he has nobody to talk to about lying about his cancer diagnosis. #TheNightCaller." @atvfriend observed: "Lawrence is just as lonely as his callers, but he's trying to win Tony's trust to no avail#TheNightCaller.

" They later added: "I knew he was lying about the cancer #TheNightCaller."
