But as the penultimate show was broadcast, fans at home begged for it to "speed up" as they criticised it for being "stretched out". The contemporary thriller is a "claustrophobic tale about the power of influence and those with the loudest voice have over the most vulnerable people,".
The series follows taxi driver Tony and his "unhealthy obsession" with a late-night radio talk show host called Lawrence. Cab driver Tony is played by Hustle, Spooks, and Sherwood star Robert Glenister , while Sean Pertwee, known for You and Gotham, takes on the role of Lawrence. In tonight's episode, the net was closing in on Tony and he was advised to leave town.
But shortly after, the taxi driver was stunned when Lawrence hailed his cab and he was in shock to finally get to meet his hero. However, it turned into a trip with dramatic and regrettable repercussions. The Channel 5 show is set to come to a final conclusion tomorrow, but impatient fans have complained that it's taking too long.
