In addition to confirming a new map set in Japan, Embark has revealed for each of the three classes: light, medium, and heavy. On a Reddit AMA, Embark also confirmed Season 3 will introduce , and they have also stated to accompany a new rank. While the new Ruby rank hasn’t been mentioned in any of the Season 3 marketing material as of writing, Embark has confirmed that Terminal Attack is becoming the Ranked mode.
For Season 3, Embark is changing The Finals’ Ranked mode to Terminal Attack. In a news post shared on , the developer says the change is made to “emphasize a more tactical and competitive experience”. We’ve previously been afforded the ability to play Terminal Attack during Season 2, but below is the description from Embark: “In Terminal Attack, attackers deliver a Decryption Key to one of two terminals, while defenders guard the terminals and prevent the transfer from completing.
This strategic, 5v5, attack-and-defend mode pits two teams against each other for the best of 13 rounds. Contestants must plan carefully.
