Longtime Hollywood star Bill Cobbs has died at 90 years old in his California home on June 25. The star was best known for his roles in fan-favorite films like Night at the Museum, The Bodyguard, Air Bud and other classics. He's starred alongside some of the biggest names in the industry such as Ben Stiller , Whitney Houston , Kevin Costner , Owen Wilson , Rami Malek , Robin Williams , Dick Van Dyke , and many others who called him a friend.

Cobbs, who shared on Facebook : "On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California . "A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones.



" "As a family we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time." Originally born in Cleveland, Ohio in June of 1934, Cobbs fled to New York City at the age of 36 to pursue his dreams of acting after serving in the US Air Force for eight years as a radar technician.

Aside from his countless appearances on the silver screen, he has also made several cameos in the telivision world in shows like One Tree Hill , The Outer Limits, The Sopranos , Star Trek: Ente.
