The 15-year-old who played Nessa and Smithy's baby in Gavin & Stacey is "disappointed" he's not been called up for the Christmas special. Oscar Hartland took up the role as an infant when James Corden and Ruth Jones' characters had a baby in the hit BBC sitcom, and then again as a 10-year-old in the 2019 Christmas special. But now the teenager, who is studying for his GCSEs, feels he's been left out in the cold after the cast planned a reunion for another long-awaited Christmas special.

Concerned that a new actor has been drafted in to play Neil The Baby, Oscar wants his "last chance" to reprise his character, with the episode set to be the last one ever . Oscar, from Caerphilly, South Wales, told The Sun: "I'm disappointed. I was hoping to get the call.
