Teen Mom star fiancé Gary Wayt's is officially closed as he called and Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina revealed to that the 39-year-old called law enforcement from a restricted phone number on Friday afternoon and informed them he was safe and to call off the search. To ensure it was truly Gary and not someone posing as him, police confirmed that they grilled him with very specific questions. After giving convincing answers and ensuring with 100% certainty that Gary was fine, police agreed to shut down the case.

Throughout the , which began last Sunday, authorities never suspected foul play or the possibility of suicide. And while Gary did not disclose where he was currently located, witnesses claim that they spotted him traveling cross-country in his car. It has not yet been confirmed whether or not he's been in contact with his fiancée Amber.



On Friday, police confirmed that they received a report that someone had spotted Gary in New Mexico nearly 900 miles away from where he originally went missing in North Carolina. Before that, Amber's soon-to-be-husband was also spotted inside of a Verizon store in Oklahoma where he showed "no signs of distress." The week-long investigation was launched by Amber after Gary suddenly disappeared from their hotel in North Carolina fleeing with only his wallet and keys and leaving his phone behind.
