Another series of the best comedy show on TV has come to an end, and the Taskmaster winner has been crowned. In a tense and side-clutching series, we’ve chortled at the efforts of the wonderful Joanne McNally , Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed, acting icon Steve Pemberton, comedian John Robins, and Alma’s Not Normal’s Sophie Willan, as they battled it out via some seriously wild tasks. The contestants joined Greg Davies and Alex Horne for the Channel 4 show’s 17th season, which began in March.
Now the winner has been crowned, as John Robins walked away with the bust of Greg trophy. Nick came last with 131 points, Sophie finished fourth, Steve was third, and Joanne the runner-up. Sophie had never won an episode until the final one of the series.
In celebration she twerked, but her dress flung a little too far up in a hilarious farewell moment from the season. Fans took to social media mourning the end of another season of the beloved series. ‘I’m gonna miss seeing Sophie on my screen every week,’ wrote @ashplstfu, while @losinggteeth added: ‘Can’t believe we won’t get nick and steve team tasks anymore.
