Live TV can be full of surprises and Janette Manrara is the latest celebrity to prove it. The Strictly star was back on BBC One this Thursday, June 20, 2024, as she hosted another instalment of Morning Live alongside Gethin Jones and Michelle Ackerley but when financial expert Laura Pomfret discussed overdrafts, a blunder left Janette awkwardly blushing. Laura's segment was abruptly halted by a faint screeching in the background, which was revealed to be have been caused by Janette's baby monitor.

"Hang on a minute, let's stop the baby monitor on Janette's phone before we carry on. Stop trying to hide it", Gethin said. Embarrassed by the blunder, Janette immediately spoke out as she explained: "It's because I opened the WhatsApp group.



Oh god! I'm so sorry." But Gethin and Laura reassured her as they asked to know if her baby daughter, Lyra, who is just a few weeks away from her first birthday, was doing well and once they received confirmation that "she's fine", Gethin quipped: "Oh good, but some people's finances are not." Janette, 40, welcomed her baby daughter Lyra in July last year with her partner Alijaz Skorjanec , 33, after trying to conceive for two years.

During a chat with The Daily Mirror in February, 2024, the Cuban-American TV star opened up about the birth , admitting she underwent a difficult recovery as she wasn't able to hold her "miracle baby" as much as she would have wanted to. "It was hard with a C-section it’s a long recovery. I couldn’t carry Lyra .
