Strictly Come Dancing's Graziano Di Prima allegedly "repeatedly kicked and hit" his former dance partner Zara McDermott. The Italian professional dancer, 30, took to social media on Saturday to confirm the reports of him being dropped from the upcoming series of the dance competition. He said he was dropped over "events" that he reportedly "deeply regrets".

It is claimed that his departure from the show is due to claims being made about him of "gross misconduct." Graziano, who was partnered with Zara on last year's series, told his social media followers, he would not be part of the upcoming series that begins in September, despite confirmation of his return in June. Graziano's departure is reportedly based on claims made by those working on the show who saw his alleged treatment of Zara during last year's series.

And now, further reports claim that Zara was a "victim of repeated physical and verbal abuse" behind the scenes of the show. Sources alleged to MailOnline that he was dropped from the show after he 'kicked and hit' the Love Island star. A source added that the complaint was made by a number of production staff, with Zara later coming in for interviews about his behaviour.

Another source told The Sun that he was dropped after BBC bosses were shocked after seeing video footage of his clashes with Zara. They said: "The footage has reduced those who have seen it to tears." Zara has allegedly instructed lawyers to act for her after the investigation.
