The free-to-play combat game features new characters in iconic 'Star Wars' locations Take-Two Interactive ’s Zynga studio has finally released Star Wars: Hunters , a free-to-play combat game. Available for Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices, the cross-platform Star Wars: Hunters sees teams of four players taking to a battle arena in Vespaara and facing-off in competitive matches set across various Star Wars -inspired battlefields including the ice planet of Hoth, the forest moon of Endor, the Death Star and the frustratingly-sandy world of Tatooine. “With Star Wars : Hunters , we’re inviting fans to a new destination in the Outer Rim to experience a larger-than-life expression of the Star Wars galaxy unlike any we’ve seen before,” explained LucasFilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly.

Star Wars: Hunters has been developed alongside LucasFilm Games and features a number of new hunter characters that include a Wookie with a “penchant for disarming droids and his opponents”, a righteous Mandalorian, a “dark side warrior”, a gun-wielding Stormtrooper and a droid that has been programmed to believe it is a Jedi. It had been due for release in 2022 but was delayed “ to ensure we meet the high expectations we are setting for fans globally and ourselves as developers ”. “ Star Wars: Hunters represents a huge step forward for Zynga as our first cross-platform competitive shooter set in such a beloved universe,” said Yaron Leyvand, executive vice president o.
