Sony Pictures Television is closing TriStar TV , the studio behind Apple TV+’s “The Afterparty” and AMC’s “Lucky Hank.” As Sony shutters the division and folds the studio into the larger TV org, executive vice president Jennifer Turner and senior vice president of development Nicole Norwood are exiting the company. Other staff cuts are not expected as a result of TriStar TV closing.

Sources tell Variety that the move is part of an overall strategy shift at Sony regarding its boutique labels. Sony reps did not immediately respond to request for comment. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the news that TriStar TV is shuttering.
