Brushstrokes and Beyond, an event to showcase the new murals and celebrate the participating artists, will be held on July 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at 18 Curran Lane in Glens Falls.
Attendees will be able to engage with the artists and their work, join in on a community canvas, and listen to live music from local bands, TV Doctors and Seize Atlantis. The featured artists for this year’s Muralthon are Stephanie Vaus, JeverArts, Rachael Duchnycz, Quill Harrison, De Zalv and Maxim Litvinov. The now-annual event will be an attraction for Muralgarten, a free, public art park at the Shirt Factory.
Muralgarten is in the early stages of landscaping, creating walking pathways, and introducing more native plants and flowers, a press release said. The July 27 event also includes a morning vinyasa yoga class in the courtyard of the Shirt Factory. The class is a suggested $15 donation, with proceeds going to Muralgarten projects.
