shocked listeners on Monday morning when he announced on-air that his co-host was broadcasting live from London after quietly flying to Europe over the weekend. Rather than wait until ’s annual winter break later this month to start her holidays, the 49-year-old has been able to flee the Australian winter early and broadcast from the UK thanks to a secret clause in the pair’s with KIIS FM. Both Kyle and Jackie O insisted during negotiations that they could broadcast the show from “anywhere on the earth” at the drop of a hat, as first reported by last year.

This means that the pair can not only work from anywhere they want, but their employers, Australian Radio Network, must ensure they find suitable studio space wherever they are for them to work from. On Monday morning, Jackie explained she was broadcasting this week from Global Media & Entertainment’s Capital and Heart studios in Central London. The location clause certainly wasn’t the only demand Kyle and Jackie O had when signing their contract last year, with an insider telling that the duo refused to re-sign until their bosses agreed they would be getting a brand new state-of-the-art studio.



They officially moved into their new studio in North Sydney in March and the following month they began - which was another condition in their monumental deal. The $200 million contract, which saw the presenters’ salaries increase from $5 million to $10 million until 2034, has been described as the biggest deal in Aust.
