Hagar kicked off the evening – in the company of guitarist , bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte – with a version of the opening track from 1986's album, before performing two songs from 1991's and Hagar also played a pair of David Lee Roth-era Van Halen classics in and , while a section of appeared during a medley that also included Montrose's and Chickenfoot's .
