Rylan Clark and David Tennant have won big at this year's British LGBT Awards as Strictly Come Dancing star Robin Windsor was remembered in a touching tribute. The annual awards ceremony took place this evening in London, with Julian Clary as host for the 10th anniversary. He opened the event with a monologue which left audience members howling with laughter.

Business leaders and organisations with a track record of promoting LGBTQ+ people and policies as well as equality and diversity were honoured in front of the star-studded crowd. Doctor Who star David Tennant was awarded the LGBT+ Celebrity Ally award for his vocal and ongoing support of the trans community. He was presented his award by fellow advocate Katherine Ryan, who won the award in 2023.



The Tenth Doctor said: “I am honoured to win this award. I am inspired by all of you here tonight.” Emma Willis reunited with former Big Brother contestant Rylan to present his Celebrity of the Year award.

Russell Tovey, Pixie Lott, Adele Roberts, Katherine Ryan and Nicola Adams showed their support as they watched on. Former X Factor star Rylan was given the Celebrity Ally Award to loud whoops as Emma Willis beamed with pride as she handed over the gong. Big Brother 2023 winner Jordan Sangha was given the Media Moment of the Year Award alongside his fellow contestant and boyfriend Henry Southan.

The pair were recognised for their on-screen, real-life romance on the revived ITV version of the smash-hit show last year. Lianne .
