Actor Ryan Reynolds is remembering the late John Candy with a heartfelt message 30 years after his death. Over the weekend, the 47-year-old re-shared a photo on Instagram, originally posted by comedian Mathias Nastos. Mr.

Reynolds also attached instrumentals to the photo of the song “Power to Believe'' by The Dream Academy. The song was featured in the soundtrack of Mr. Candy’s 1987 film “Plane Trains and Automobiles.



” The post went on to highlight Mr. Candy’s career in 80’s comedies, noting big names like Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy, Chevy Chase, and Dan Aykroyd often receive most of the recognition. “John Candy was easily one of the funniest men in the movies.

..The man had perfect comedic timing on screen, charisma that was second to none, and the ability to make every film better with even the smallest of cameos,” read the caption.

The “Deadpool” star alongside actor Colin Hanks is in talks with Amazon Prime in hopes of picking up a documentary honoring Mr. Candy. Mr.

Hanks has been directing the film which will explore the life and legacy of the iconic funnyman, while Mr. Reynolds is acting as producer under his “Maximum Effort” production company. The documentary will reportedly go beyond the persona and take a deeper look into the inner off-screen life that Mr.

Candy kept private. March 4 marked the 30th Anniversary of the death of Mr. Candy, who died at the age of 43.
