Ruth Langsford has broken her silence for the first time since announcing his shock split from Eamonn Holmes after 14 years of marriage. The Loose Women star, 64, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a video of herself walking her beloved dog Maggie in the sunshine. The TV star then shared another sweet video of Maggie enjoying some time with her 'granny' and Ruth's mum Joan.
"Enjoying the little bit of sunshine we got today," Ruth wrote. "Bit of grandma love." Whispers of a shock announcement began circulating on Saturday, before the sad news was finally confirmed by the couple's representatives.
The joint statement read: "Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing." The pair were renowned for their bickering and rows , many of which took place in full glare of the ITV cameras during their time on the daytime show, but the duo had always insisted their disagreements came from a place of affection.
