RTE viewers were left stunned as they realised a man interviewed about a Dublin hotel fire was actually a Hollywood icon. Emergency services rushed to Dublin’s famous Shelbourne Hotel on Wednesday morning after a fire broke out. Guests and staff were evacuated from the 265-room five-star hotel as firefighters tackled the blaze.
RTE News went to the scene to speak to those affected by the incident. One of those being interviewed turned out to be Hollywood actor Henry Winkler. The star, 78, is best known for his role as Arthur 'Fonzie' Fonzarelli on the American television series Happy Days.
He gave an epic response to the journalist, which has since gone viral online. The actor was woken by the fire alarm and rushed outside the building as part of the evacuation. However, he remained in high spirits and took the time to thank the firefighters for their hard efforts.
Speaking to RTE News, Henry said: "When I heard the fire alarm, I thought it was the clock radio.
