After stopping in the U.K. to attend a service celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry traveled to Nigeria with his wife Meghan Markle .
But what the couple did while there is said to have really “angered” King Charles . News of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to Nigeria was reported weeks in advance. The purpose of the visit was thought to be to promote the Invictus Games.
But it turned into something more, which according to a royal expert, left King Charles “angrier than anyone had ever seen him.” What Meghan did that had King Charles so angry Royal author Tom Quinn noted that Harry did meet with injured soldiers while in the West African country. However, the trip also included highlights for Meghan like speaking at a leadership event, proving that it was actually more like a royal tour for the two non-working royals.
Speaking to The Mirror , Quinn claimed that “Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him. What’s really upset the applecart is the fact that the Nigerians treated Meghan and Harry as if they too thought this was an official tour — all the signs were there as the couple were greeted with dances [and] receptions. “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there — the receptions, the visits to schools and charities, to wounded soldiers and the disabled.
Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their whole attitude has been designed to give the impression that they are still fully.
