Jay Blades: The West End Through Time teaser clip Jay Blades has reportedly landed another new show after proving a hit for Channel 5 with his most recent offering Jay Blades: The West End through time. The first episode only aired this week but he has already been offered another show on the channel. The Repair Shop star, 54, will be seen fronting Jay Blades: Country Homes Through Time for the channel as he continues to expand his presenting portfolio away from the BBC .

This latest offering will, as the title suggests, see Jay explore a series of stately homes. Although he shot to fame on the popular BBC show in recent times he has become as well known for his factual documentary series. The career boost will come as good news to the popular presenter who has had a difficult time of late.

In early May his split from his wife of 18 months Lisa-Marie Zbozen was announced . The news of the split came just days after Jay announced he was taking a break from social media following the death of his uncle. The new show will build on his previous offerings for Channel 5.

"Jay will probably always be best known for The Repair Shop but he has really carved out a groove as a historian for Channel 5," a source told The Sun.
