Actor , known for portraying the role of Lakshman in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan' has expressed his disappointment at the Lok Sabha Election results 2024. He expressed disappointment at BJP not securing a single-party majority this election term. The BJP secured 240 seats and will have to form a coalition government with JDU and TDP.
After the election results were announced, Sunil Lahiri took to Instagram to share a video with a message to his followers. He also questioned whether the BJP's coalition government with its NDA partners could complete its full term without difficulties. "I am very disappointed to see the election results.
Firstly, the voting was very low and then this result. I constantly urged people to vote but no one paid heed. Now, a coalition government will be formed.
But will this government be able to run smoothly for five years? That is something to think about," he said. ADVERTISEMENT One of the biggest shockers for BJP was losing out the seat at Faizabad where Ayodhya is located. Earlier this year the Ram mandir was inaugurated in the city and was one of the biggest promises made by the ruling party.
However, the results were not in favour of BJP as Samajwadi Party's Akshaya Yadav won by over 89,000 votes, defeating BJP candidate Vishwadeep Singh. "We have forgotten that residents of Ayodhya had questioned the virtue of Sita after she returned from exile. Even if God himself would appear in front of them, they would reject him.
Ayodhya has always betray.
