Race Across the World is a reality series that lets us become intrepid travellers without having to leave our sofas. The hit show , which first aired in 2019, follows five pairs as they race to a far-flung corner of the globe. The caveat is that they can only do this by land or sea, and are given an amount of money that is equivalent to the price of a one-way plane ticket to the final destination.
The duos are made up of siblings, couples, friends or relatives, each with their own unique story. The fourth series of Race Across The World saw the teams journey from northernmost Japan to the Indonesian island of Lombok in east Asia without flights or phones, competing for the £20,000 cash prize. The final episode will see the four remaining pairs battle it out in the final episode to win a cash prize.
Ahead of 9pm, we thought we would check in with Race Across the World's previous winners, to see how the experience has changed them, and what they are up to now...
