'A ball of fire coming from the sky', is what aspiring dancehall powerhouse Pyneer wants fans to envision when they think of him. He plans to be the next big star to stir up the dancehall scene, not only with his comical gimmicks, but a burst of talent which will ignite the world, leaving a musical "mass destruction and carnage". The artiste, whose given name is Alex Brown, said his moniker foreshadows his aim and purpose in music.
"A 'pioneer' is basically someone that initiates a new movement and that is me, basically. Anything that I do or say from here on will be something that someone will do [for the] first time. I am a pioneer.
So if it's a song, if it's lyrics, it may be an innovation of something else, but trust me, that is all I am about, creating new trend [and] new wave," he said. He also explained 'The Dancehall Comet' aspect of his persona. "Just imagine a ball of fire coming from the sky.
No matter how yuh shub up yuh hand, run, hide, they cannot stop it; a force to be reckoned with. Suh anybody deh a foot a drop inna a second, quick. Believe man, that's a comet [and] that's what I represent [but] big up who deh yah fuss," he added.
A snippet of the upcoming music video for his single, The Comet is Coming , created quite a stir after being posted on his social media pages. "It's all about confidence. I am big on showing homage to persons and learning from persons but you see once you're someone that reach a level that I want to reach, I'm gonna respect you.
