Prioritising education in Fiji means prioritising a better tomorrow. The Ministry of Education in prioritising education is committed to strengthening its partnership with different school managements. In doing so, the Education Minister, Aseri Radrodro has visited schools around the Central Division.
Apart from visiting government schools, the Minister has also visited Catholic faith-based schools in Suva this month. Schools that the Minister had visited included Marist Champagnat Institute, St Joseph’s Secondary School, Sacred Heart College and Marist Brothers High School. In a Ministry statement, Mr Radrodro expressed gratitude to the Catholic church for their partnership in education.
“It is crucial that partnership is strengthened with school management,” he said. “School facilities are well maintained with sufficient supply of teaching and learning resources visible through concerted efforts from the management, government and parents.” According to the Ministry, Mr Radrodro was grateful for the holistic development of children through education that the Catholic faith promotes in their schools.
The students of Marist Champagnat Institute performed some traditional and island items to welcome their guest to their school. The Ministry with the help of its partners oversees 879 ECE centres in Fiji, 738 primary school and 176 secondary schools..
