The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were bestowed Frogmore Cottage as a nuptial gift from Queen Elizabeth II and transformed the four-bedroom historical residence with a £2.4 million refurbishment. They settled in during 2019 but vacated after their bombshell announcement to step back from Royal duties in 2020.



In March last year, King Charles requested that Harry and Meghan officially relinquish the property. Frogmore Cottage represented the Sussexes' sole remaining tie to the UK, with the couple now residing in a lavish £12 million abode in Montecito, California. However, the stately home may soon have a new occupant, as King Charles , aged 75, is purportedly pressing his embattled brother to abandon his expansive 30-room Royal Lodge in Windsor for Frogmore Cottage.

Royal expert Tom Quinn has voiced that Harry is likely displeased with this turn of events. Speaking to the Mirror , Quinn said: "However deep the rift with his father and brother, Harry always had hopes that he and Meghan might eventually be allowed to re-e.
