A popular sports clothing brand has announced that it has chosen Manchester for its first permanent UK store. Trailberg has taken out a five year lease for a 1,300 sq ft unit at Manchester Arndale . It has taken over the former Cruyff sports shop that closed down in April.

It comes amid news that Arndale bosses are in talks to bring several more "big name brands" to the centre in the months ahead. It most recently announced that B&M is taking over the former Wilkos site inside the mall. READ MORE: Massive street party to take place in historic Stockport street this summer Sports brand Trailberg is known for its range of clothing designed with the needs of mountain runners in mind.



It offers items like tracksuits, windbreakers, hoodies and shorts designed for its freedom of movement, breathability, and durability to tackle the toughest trails. Previously the brand has been available online, and through partnerships with other retailers. The new Manchester store will now provide Trailberg fans with a dedicated space to access and try on their full range of products.

Trailberg becomes the latest brand to select Manchester Arndale as the location for one of its first stores. Arndale bosses say Trailberg’s arrival also "increases the diverse range of clothing brands located at Manchester Arndale". The variety of retailers has allowed the centre to continue to post strong footfall figures in recent years with over 46 million people visiting the centre in 2023.
