CHANNEL 4 is set to welcome back a TV favourite after the first season brought in over one million viewers. Millionaire Hoarders, which aired as part of a three part TV series in August last year, has been commissioned for a second series on Channel 4. The second season will see eight 60-minute episodes, as experts from the world of antiques, collectables, interiors and fashion continue to uncover the UK’s hidden valuables.
The first series on Channel 4 reached a consolidated audience of over 1.1m, with many tuning in to see what treasures are hiding in wealthy homes and estates. The first series saw unearthed gems including a painting worth £2.
5m that was left forgotten about in a stately home as well as a gemstone that was found in Croydon. The Channel 4 wesite describes the show as: "From unique owners to extraordinary houses of all shapes and sizes with masses of potential treasures, Millionaire Hoarders will not only shine a light on the acquired, curated, or obsessively collected items but also reveal the stories behind them. "Delving into the social history of the objects, whilst looking at their potential worth, the professional fortune finders will hope to unlock a life-changing sum of money through the hidden treasures collecting dust in the spare room.
